As we continue preparations for Field Day 2026 our CW team is launching a program to assist and encourage new members to the team.
The CW Team holds in-person meetings following each club meeting. In addition, there are meetings over Zoom on those Fridays that we don’t have club meetings. Specific meeting info will be sent to each member of the team.
Topics discussed include:
CW Operating procedures
Q-Codes and Abbreviations
CW Keys and Keyers (There is a difference)
Each new team member is assigned a Code-buddy. This individual works side by side with their assigned protege to assess their progress and provide the advice and support necessary to get them to the next level.
Once you’ve learned Morse Code, we work with each new team member to get them on the air and get them their first CW contact.
For further information about joining the team, please contact Joel, K0JEM at k0jem8444@gmail.com.
